About the Author
Angelica Crystal Powers was born on her father's jet as it flew over the Alps over the border of Italy and into France, and so--though raised in Italy--she considers both countries her native home. This is what I got out of reading this book, that everyone should read over and over again.
THE FIRST LESSON
The Law of Ego
What I got out of the 1st lesson was get rid the (I-consciousness--the ego) and start moving closer to God, best way to move closer to God is meditation (quieting the mind) to attained god-consciousness. Everything does not need to be controlled be me. Do the work that needs to be done, and then step back from it - stop trying to force the results I want? I am not my money, my job or my reputation. My money can be taken from me, my job can be lost and my reputation depends on what others think of me. Dream as the god inside of me wants, and of the life that is best for me, if I can dream it - I can have it. As a god, to love myself, is to love the world.
THE SECOND LESSON
The Law of Infinite Return
What I got out of the 2nd lesson was to give what I want to receive. Through my thoughts and feeling I send out silent prayers and by this creating my own world in which I live in. It's all in our interpretation of how we see things. If I believe by doing something that I consider bad, bad things will happen, then I should be expecting bad things to happen and I will be sending out silent bad thing prayers. I need to keep cultivating the relationship between God and me.
THE THIRD LESSON
The Law of the Dancing Symbol
What I got out of the 3rd lesson, was building on the 2nd lesson my intentions influence my interpretation. If I keep my intentions pure/good and my interpretation positive/benefitting myself and others, you can choose to be a god or you can choose to be a servant. The choice is ultimately yours. Stop believing what others tell you too or have trained you to believe, and believe what you truly believe or discover for yourself what your belief is.
THE FOURTH LESSON
The Law of Attraction
What I got out of the 4th lesson was like attracts like, and the strongest way to manifest your desires is through deep meditation or lucid dreaming. I prefer meditation, while in deep meditation I picture images of my desires and I hold them there as long as possible. I tell myself a story with pictures while under deep meditation and keep repeating the story over and over again. I have done this many times, and have had great results in many different areas.
Now back to the 4th lesson which basically states that you attract what you think about all day long. The stronger your specific desire is with emotional intensity the stronger your vibration is. (Under meditation it becomes very powerful)
THE FIFTH LESSON
The Law of Synchrony
What I got out of the 5th lesson was that it's all in the way you look at something; two people can look at the exact same thing and have two different takes on it (always find the positive take). Also to follow your intuition, listen to your heart and your gut. When you surround yourself with people moving in the same direction as yourself, you get where you're going so much faster.
THE SIXTH LESSON
The Law of the Central Figure
What I got out of the 6th lesson was The Law of the Central Figure is the counterpart, and the counterbalance, of the Law of Ego. The Law of Ego tells us to live in ecstasy, to step outside the confines of a more restricted self. After this is mastered, the Law of the Central Figure tells us to return to our physical selves with a new appreciation for the illusion of the singularity of consciousness. Yes, all the physical world is a stage. While you are here, joyfully participate as the star of the script of your life.
You need to understand your life is as a story (account of events) "that your intentions create", a story (account of events) were you are the CENTRAL Character, you will learn how to take control of your future and attract wealth and happiness.
As you write your life's story, you must trust the universal creative force to inspire you, to signal you to alter your course when necessary.
THE SEVENTH LESSON
The Law of the Dancing Demon
What I got out of the 7th lesson was that our enemies\adversaries serve a purpose in life. They help us grow, and provide obstacles that compel us to evolve and transform and pose an opportunity for spiritual growth. I must pick and choose whether or not to dedicate my time and energy to engaging the enemies\adversaries, as this drains me of my spiritual resources for the things that matter most. I need to contemplate whether or not to expand my spiritual energy. Not every fight is worth fighting, I need to pick and choose my battles.
As Buddhist has said "Your enemy is your greatest teacher."
Our adversaries perform four essential functions:
1) They place barriers between us and the things we desire, which prod us to grow and evolve.
2) They provide opportunities for divinity, generosity and grace.
3) They expose the aspects of our being requiring attention.
4) They illuminate the borders of our spiritual landscape so we can better identify those energies with which we are most in sync.
THE EIGHTH LESSON
The Law of Non-Attachment
What I got out of the 8th lesson was once I have created powerful intentions; let the universal creative force do its job. Stay open to signs and signals and surrender my attachment to the outcome that I believe should happen a certain way by anticipating the result. Trusting in God, and relinquish the comforting illusion of control. It is fruitless to judge the goodness or badness of any individual event until we have had the benefit of understanding the event's place in the context of the complete narrative of our lives.
"When a man finds delight within himself and feels inner joy and pure contentment within himself, there is nothing more to be done. He has no stake here in deeds done or undone, nor does his purpose depend on others. Always perform with detachment any action you must do; performing action with detachment, one achieves supreme good."
THE NINTH LESSON
The Law of God
Note: This Chapter should be read over and over again!
What I got out of the 9th lesson was now I have the ability to effortlessly harness and manifest my desires. The burden of being a god is that your identity, as you previously understood it, disappears. As a god on earth, you choose to participate in the physical world primarily so that you may give.
Fate is set in stone. Destiny, on the other hand, refers to a world that is dynamic and fluid and directly responsive to our consciousness and intention.
Love is the highest of all energies, subject to none of the mundane rules of time and space. Whenever a person's consciousness emits love, the effects are holistic and immediate, its sphere of influence without boundary.
As we create powerful images of the things we desire, it is crucial that we feel an equally powerful emotion of gratitude for those things before we have received them in order to guarantee our desires manifest themselves in our lives.
True gratitude is something felt before a gift is given, not after. Responsive, or reactive, gratitude--something felt and expressed after the event one is grateful for--is inherently provisional. This lower form of gratitude is given only in return for, and subsequent to, the reception of the gift.

Pretty light for all the hype

I, too, am a little uneasy about the mystery author and the super-secret origins of these teachings. But secret or not, nothing in this book is radically new or even that interesting. To me it felt like a rehash of lots of other manifesting techniques, written in more articulate prose than the majority of current manifesting books. The one thing that annoys me that no one has mentioned, is the continuous reference to her elite clientele, the celebrities, the sports starts that she works with. We get to hear all about her life coaching business, which she obviously charges a LOT for. I'd be much more interested in hearing about the masters she studied with rather than the rich business people she enlightens.

A little confused....

I bought this book while reading a book by Wayne Dyer who mentioned The God Academy. I received this book today March 22, 2012. When I open the back cover on the facing page it says "Made in USA, Lexington, Kentucky, 20 March 2012 (two days prior?). She dedicates the book to the graduates of The God Academy and to "Oprah." I have "googled" A. C. Powers, Angelica Crystal Powers, AC Powers...in various variations...and nothing comes up on this lady. On the back cover it says that she is "bringing the indelible wisdom of the Akranah to all." So I googled "Akranah"...again nothing. If anyone can enlighten me on what they know about this woman, it would be greatly appreciated.
I will hopefully raise my "star" review once I get into it. I mean the reviews on here are all FIVE's! If the wisdoms rings true...who cares who wrote it, right?
*******UPDATE***************March 28, 2012 - I changed my review to FIVE stars. I still have my questions regarding "Akranah" and I cannot find this publisher anywhere, but I'm on page 119 and there is literally not one page that's not highlighted. I consider this book a "gift" from Spirit to this seeker and "Angelica"....thank you.
