Not really Satanic**, but Devilishly Good.

A magnificent cookbook for vegan recipes. Humorous, honest, very simple. Each recipe has an accompanying QR code that (once scanned) plays a video (Black Metal music with instructional lyrics/subtitles of the dish being prepared).
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the are no precise measurements, which can be off-putting, just ingredients. Experimentation will be required (but it IS fun).

Love the methodology of this book. There are no measurements, just suggested ingredients, with lots of alternative options, accompanied by tons and tons of photos, both of the ingredients (so you can get the right brand) and every single step, teaching you how the dish should look and taste. Inexperienced cooks might be a bit intimidated by the lack of teaspoons and tablespoons, but if you are willing to take the plunge, this book will inspire you to take his recipes and make the dishes your own, since there is so much room for adding your personal touch. Yes, all recipes are 100% vegan. And yes, it has all the VBMC antics, the dagger-shaped chef's knife, or my personal fave, the skull-domed blender lid. I am 52 years old and not an expert in black metal, but my 22-year-old son tells me that all the recipe titles are actually song titles, slightly altered, and that is such a hoot. This book seems to be a true labor of love. I have recommended it to a lot of people.

Vegan Black Metal Chef has combined both knowledge and wisdom in this, the one and only Seitanic Spellbook. Brian Manowitz has a passion for great Vegan food. Inside you will find not necessarily exact measurements, but step by step constructions (WITH PICTURES) of how to make your own great Vegan home cooked meals. Mixed in are little tidbits of wisdom, Vegan Black Metal Wisdom, that I found refreshing. Thank you for "Forces of Bean Burger Storms" and "Quesophetamine". My Husband and I have been Vegan for 6+ years, though we have brushed over some these recipes before in other Vegan Cook Books, never was it layed out so simply. Glad I could be a part of the Kickstarter for this, and helped bring it to fruition.
