About the Author
Rhavensfyre is the name we publish under. We are two, KL and Roxy. We have been together for over 12 years and married less than one. We enjoy our horse farm when we can, bicycling when we may, and writing at any time of the night or day. Our goal in life is to write, to play and to enjoy the land around us. KL is a horse trainer and has shown in western pleasure in the past, now our focus is more on pleasure riding and breeding. She is an avid cyclist, and when she is not on four hooves she is on 2 wheels. Her wife, Roxy, works as a nurse by night and an artist by day. A military veteran, she has seen a good bit of the world and now enjoys the quiet country life immensely. Between the two of us, we try to bring a unique voice to our characters, building on what we know and love.

Best new book of the year!

OK so I finally have a free moment to write my thoughts on Switching Gears by Rhavensfyre. This wasn't a book, it was a journey. I had reservations buying it at first because I really don't like BDSM story lines and I was afraid this had that, but after some comforting words from the authors and a few of my reader friends I went ahead with the purchase. I am so glad that I did. I was completely hooked on the characters and story line by chapter 2, I literally couldn't put it down. I found myself trying to keep my eyes open to read just "one more chapter" I have seen so many reviews where the reviewer said they identified with Micah. I did see some of myself in Micah's characteristics but really I identified more with Olivia. Having to be the responsible one, the slightly broken yet can't let it really show because I have to take care of my more broken partner one. The strong one. The one that had to walk on eggshells at times for fear of saying the wrong thing and setting off a tsunami of emotion that she was not at all prepared to deal with, and yet the one deeply in love and willing to risk it all for that love to work. I found myself reading Olivia's internal thoughts and saying to myself "yep I know how you feel" This book literally had it all, love, sweetness, romance, danger, emotion, drama, and humor. I as a general rule don't write many amazon reviews on books but I am leaving a 5 star review on this one. It met my needs and surpassed them in every way. Now that I am finished I am actually missing the characters in my daily life. To put it simply, this book was stellar. My sincere thanks to the authors for sharing this story and these characters with us, I only hope to see more of them, (the authors and the characters) in the future. If you haven't bought and started this book already...what the hell are you waiting for??!!! On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 100.

Hot hot hot

Better wear your oven gloves when you read this great story by Rhavensfyre! But it is not just steaming hot, there is a great story with talented and yet flawed characters that had me anxious to spend more time with them. These are real people dealing with real issues You could almost be jealous of Micah, smart, artistic, built and athletic but she has paid a price to be who she is. I look forward to the next book by this talented duo and hopefully a sequel.

Great story, good characterizations, fun read.

This story follows a budding relationship between an older woman and a much younger one. How they get together and the trials they go through to get there make a very interesting book.

I enjoyed this book very much and I think anyone who reads it will enjoy it as well. I look forward to more books by this author.

I took it primarily as a comedy, would make a great gift

I think this would make a great gift for a woman that finds herself divorced or otherwise thrown into the dating scene again.
It's funny. Some of the advice is everyday ho-hum but some of it is so outrageous it made me widen my eyes and wrinkle my forehead before I started laughing. It seemed to get more and more outrageous as it went on.

I was left a bit unsure how to take the book. It wasn't ALL humor. Maybe some of it was serious. I'm not sure. Some of it was CRAZY. Reading it was rather weird - I was like "Ok, ok, ok, hmmm, WHAT?!!!!"

I don't think most women really looking to learn the art of seduction will learn it from this title- oh, perhaps a bit, but a lot of these tips seem downright sexually aggressive, and that's not always seductive or a safe way to draw the type of attention most women would want, I would think. I just decided to see those things as funny. Maybe they were meant to be. That's the thing about this book I didn't like - I just was never sure how to completely take it.

Sidewalk Oracles: Don't walk the streets without it!

I'm reading the latest book written by Robert Moss. If you are familiar with Robert Moss and his writing, he needs no recommendation. His books on dreaming and awareness are among the most useful and poetic in print. If you are not familiar with Robert's work, while this is in certain respects quite different from his preceding works, it may well be as good a place as any to begin. In writing this book, he takes the reader beyond the realm of dreams to a realm in which the mechanisms of dreams intrude upon our waking consciousness.

"Sidewalk Oracles: Playing with Signs, Symbols, and Synchronicity in Everyday Life" is an encounter, written in Moss' characteristically engaging style, with the magical voice of the universe, the higher self, or that which gives us pause when we discover it, to consider that there is indeed an intelligence guiding or at least, nudging life along.

Moss encourages us to be open to the hints, those coincidences that occur in our lives, and teaches the reader how to incite them in everyday experience. Be careful though! This book will not only make you more sensitive to the whispering voice of synchronicity and coincidence, but it will make you wanting so much more of it!

making it a joy to read

Sidewalk Oracles introduces you to kairomancy and ends up showing you how the world is constantly speaking to us and guiding us if we are open to listening, to being led, and to dancing with the trickster a bit. Nearly every page seemed to conjure magic in my world, sparking my awareness of the speaking world we live in. Robert Moss brings both sage wisdom and light playfulness yet again in this new book, making it a joy to read. The "games" are fun and his personal tales are entertaining and inspiring. I highly recommend this book as well as his previous works on the arts and adventures of dreaming. Thank you Mr. Robert Moss!
