This book is a book designed to help caretakers/nurses and doctors who may go to East Africa to work for a period of time.

The arrangement of vocabularies in this book is arranged in categories such as, "medical equipment", "drugs and medication", "cells and parasites", "parts of the body", "diseases and common illnesses", "body fluids", "accidents, injuries and wounds", "forms of physical disabilities", "cardiovascular system", "gastro intestinal system", genito-urinary system and sexual health", "neurological system", "paediatrics", "psychiatry/mental health", "respiratory system", "surgical terms" and "nursing term". I haven't mentioned all categories of the book, but it covers most areas of health care and general human atonomy.

Included are chapters on basic "grammar", "greetings", "some essential everyday words and useful sentences", "numbers", "occupations", "family relations", "money", "time" and "food, weight and health".

I would recommend this book to beginners of Swahili. Each chapter includes general questions and responses for different situations in a health care setting. It is very useful in situations where you will have to interact with patients and your knowledge and fluency of swahili are limited.

I give this book four stars because it is the first book I have come across of its kind and because it is very useful for beginners.

It is a great quick reference guide and very useful during triage

I have used this book on five medical trips to Tanzania. It is a great quick reference guide and very useful during triage. I made tabs for the different chapters to make them easy to find. We use this book in conjunction with books which are more comprehensive medically including, "Where There is No Doctor," "Where There is No Female Doctor," and "Handbook of Medicine in Developing Countries." The size makes it easy to carry along in a backpack. My only complaint is that it is not available on Kindle.

Great concept. I think it's the only one out ...

Hey! Great concept. I think it's the only one out there of its kind (as of 2013).
Nonetheless, after arriving in Tanzania, I learned that some of the translations are not 100% exact (although they are in the right ballpark, most of the time). Also, while all words included in the book certainly do exist in Swahili, certain ones are only used in certain countries. For example, the book might provide a word for 'doctor' that is used in Uganda and Kenya, but not in Tanzania. (the word 'doctor' was just an example...I don't remember which words this was actually true for- I simply arrived in the country and learned from the people there). In spite of these weaknesses, overall, I would recommend this book!

Little disappointed, I agree with the other review, it's really just the co-author's marketing tool, not a real Michael Gerber E-Myth book, not much of info on RE. Get the original E-Myth book then other better RE books. Don't waste your money on this one.

I have been a real estate investor for 12 years now. I have purchased over 200+ properties and this book was a breathe of fresh air. I highly recommend this book and in fact am working on getting my whole team a copy. The key to the E-myth and especially the E-myth RE investor is about establishing systems. With systems in place, you can measure and track performance, and it is not just how many hours you can work in a day, week, month or year. Systems allow you to leverage your mental brainpower and turn the daily grind of chasing deal after deal into a predicable and reliable business that is not solely dependent on you as the owner. Michael, Than and Paul do an excellent job of helping guide you on that process through this book.

I was expecting so much more or at least some real information for a new investor like me. I feel like all they do on this book is just give you part of the tools and half of the information, so you can go ahead and get the full information when you buy their course. This book is just a marketing tool for them to get more students to their expensive courses. Not cool

About the Author
Andrea Vesco received the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering and the Ph.D. in Computer and System Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in 2003 and 2009 respectively. After one year of post-doc with the Control and Computer Engineering Department as a member of the Computer Networks Group at the Politecnico di Torino, he joined the Networking Lab at the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB) in 2010. His research interests were on Quality-of-Service (QoS) over packet switched networks and wireless access networks. Moreover he carried out research activities on QoS over Network-on-Chip (NoC). After ten years of experience and several publications in the networking field, He had the opportunity to focus his researches on the Smart City subject in 2013. His research effort is currently spent on the role of ICT in planning, developing and managing Smart Cities, with particular focus on sustainable mobility and energy efficiency.Finally, he is a member of the IEEE and of the Smart City Stakeholder Platform EU http://www.eu-smartcities.eu

Francesco Ferrero holds a master's degree summa cum laude in Physics from the University of Turin. Since February 2012 he is heading the Smart City Strategic Program for Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB). Between 2010 and 2012 Francesco was responsible for ISMB of the Innovation Front End, a joint unit with the Politecnico di Torino in charge of technology transfer, knowledge management and relationship with businesses.
